When a Premium crisis call connects, the AI Responder activates automatically. It receives a live frame stream from the caller's camera every few seconds and processes each frame through a vision model trained on emergency scenarios. It simultaneously speaks calm, action-oriented instructions to the caller ("Stay still, help is coming") and sends a real-time situation brief to the receiver ("Caller appears to be on the floor — possible fall. Location: 2699 Showplace Dr"). The AI updates its assessment as the call progresses.

AI Spatial Intelligence is FamPhone's environmental awareness layer. Beyond identifying the person in the frame, it analyses the physical space — the room layout, objects, distance from furniture, lighting, and environmental hazards. This allows it to distinguish between someone who has sat down and someone who has fallen, detect smoke or unusual shadows that might indicate fire, and give emergency responders an accurate scene description before they arrive.

Yes. Recordings are encrypted at rest and in transit using AES-256. They are stored for 30 days and are only accessible to the account holder through an authenticated download link. FamPhone staff cannot view your recordings. After 30 days, recordings are permanently deleted. You can delete a recording at any time from your account.

In your Premium account, you add each family member's name, phone number, and email. When a crisis call is triggered, every family member on your list receives an SMS, email, and push notification simultaneously — not in sequence. The first person to tap Answer connects to the call. Others can join through the FamPage view. You can add, remove, or reorder family members at any time from your dashboard.

The FamPage is a live, shared status page that all family members can access during a crisis. It shows the caller's location on a map, the AI's current situation assessment, who has seen the alert, who is responding, and a live update feed. Family members can post short updates ("I'm 10 minutes away", "Ambulance called") that all other members see instantly. The FamPage stays active until the account holder closes the incident.

FamPhone's AI does not place calls to emergency services autonomously — a human decision is always required for that step. When the AI assesses a situation as critical, it presents the receiver with a one-tap emergency services prompt that pre-fills a situation report with the caller's location and the AI's scene description. This makes calling 911 (or your local emergency number) as fast and informative as possible, while keeping the decision with the family.

Yes. Premium is linked to your account, not a specific device. Your FamPhone links work on any device and any browser — the Premium features activate automatically when a call connects on a Premium account. If you upgrade from free, your existing links carry over with no changes needed.

Yes, at any time. If you cancel, your account moves to the free plan at the end of your current billing period. Your connection links, family contacts, and account details are preserved. Recorded sessions remain accessible until their 30-day retention window expires.
